On August 27, 2015, Judge Robert Krebs, Circuit Court Judge of Jackson County, Mississippi dismissed 117 silica cases with prejudice.

In a significant ruling issued on August 12, Jackson County, Mississippi, Circuit Judge Kathy King Jackson held that pump manufacturer Ingersoll Rand Company was entitled to summary judgment in an asbestos wrongful death case because the company did not manufacture or supply the asbestos insulation that was applied to its pumps on new vessels constructed at Ingalls Shipyard.
